While building Hookdeck's agent evals page, I directed an AI-assisted survey of how other developer platforms publish their results. These fifteen guidelines cover what I'd check before trusting a score, including several things we got wrong ourselves.
Agents rediscover tools at runtime, so a renamed tool is just found under its new name and nothing breaks. That argument is more persuasive than it should be. The tool name is the only identity MCP gives a tool, and half the ecosystem quietly uses it as a primary key.
